What if the courage, wisdom, or patience you’ve been searching for are already inside of you?
We constantly seek outside guidance.
We read books, listen to mentors, and attend conferences. And, while these are all beneficial contributors to our evolution, when they become the sole option, we distance ourselves from what we have within.
But, at one point, you feel the need to look inward.
Yet, you immediately face friction from preconceptions and limiting beliefs. What should be a journey of self-discovery turns into another inner battle.
What if you could bypass this obstacle? What if the qualities you need to tap into can look back at you… clearly, without distortion?
That’s what your spirit animal can do.
What Is A Spirit Animal
Spirit animals are seen as energetic guides.
From Native American culture to Celtic beliefs and shamanic practices, spirit animals represent the qualities of your inner self at this moment in time.
They might reveal themselves to you in dreams or moments of clarity.
But it’s not the strength of the animal that counts.
It’s the spiritual essence you resonate with.
For example:
- Butterflies – Are a symbol of transformation. The courage to surrender to change and the beauty of rebirth.
- Turtles – Symbolize patience, longevity, and grounding. They are a reminder of movement and constant progress, regardless of your rhythm.
- Rabbits – Reflect sensitivity and intuition. They tell you to trust your instincts while leaving behind self-doubt.
- Hummingbirds – Are the embodiment of joy, light, and resilience. They are incredible animals that can travel long distances, despite their tiny body.
- Owls – Bring calm and wisdom where balance is needed.
Why Finding Your Spirit Animal Matters
We’re often cornered by blind spots.
Daily chores and responsibilities clutter our thinking. We have little time for ourselves, let alone seeking answers inward. And when we do, we’re blinded by the very rules we live by.
The spirit animal can help:
Bring clarity to your choices – An eagle reveals the bigger picture while a turtle may remind you to take things slow.
Awaken hidden strengths – Your spirit animal can reflect parts of yourself you haven’t fully acknowledged. A deer, for example, may be a reminder of your compassion and encourage you to use it as a strength.
Healing wounds – Spirit animals often highlight areas of imbalance. A snake may appear when it’s time to shed old skin and step into renewal.
Manifestation of power – When you align your goals with your animal’s vibration, you anchor your intentions with greater force. Imagine manifesting abundance with the bee’s industrious energy or freedom with the horse’s stamina.
Deepening intuition – Spirit animals often arrive through subtle signs. You might meet them in dreams or through synchronicities. Learning to recognize them strengthens your intuition and attention to detail.
In essence, your spirit animal becomes a compass for your soul, pointing you toward lessons, strengths, and growth opportunities.
Meditation: How To Discover Your Spirit Animal Through Reiki
- Find a quiet moment in the day. Either sit in a chair with your back straight or lie down.
- Begin activating your palms with the Reiki symbols: Cho Ku Rei + Sei He Ki + Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen + Dai Ko Myo. If you are attuned to other systems, then add symbols from those systems as well.
- Place one palm on the heart chakra and one on the sacral chakra, just below the navel. The first connects to the soul and the latter to your own spirit.
- Begin a sequence of deep breaths. You can use the “box breathing” pattern: count to 4 as you inhale, hold for 4 counts, count to 4 as you exhale, hold for 4 counts.
- When you’ve reached a calm and peaceful state you can use the following affirmation: “I call forth my spirit animal. Show me your form, your energy, your message.”
- Now, just breathe deeply. Don’t force any figure or other scenarios.
Your spirit animal may appear as a clear vision, sensation, or even a feeling of just “knowing”.
For some, this may happen quickly while for others it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. The time will depend on your current vibration level and spiritual awareness.
Don’t worry if no spirit animal has been revealed to you.
Instead of blaming yourself or the process, watch out for signs. Maybe you were not supposed to meet it right away. But the meditation opened you up to this possibility.
Therefore, watch for signs during the day. Maybe drawings of owls will appear or you’ll spot horses everywhere.
This is an invitation to pay attention and listen to the world.
How Reiki Can Help Strengthen Your Connection With The Spirit Animal
The first step is to identify your spirit animal.
But this isn’t enough, isn’t it?
Just like spirit guides, you want to constantly nurture this relationship for the best outcomes. Guidance doesn’t fall from the sky. But you can tap into it, one session at a time. And… the more you do it, the better you’ll get at receiving the optimal answers.
Here’s how Reiki distance healing can help:
- Activate your palms with Cho Ku Rei + Sei He Ki + Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen + Dai Ko Myo.
- Open an energetic gateway in front of you with the same sequence of Reiki symbols.
- Start channeling universal light through this gateway and toward the spirit animal you’ve identified. This process will help connect your energy fields.
- Spend around 15-20 minutes every other day until you feel the bond has been created.
- When everything becomes clear and you can communicate openly, it means the bond is strong and healthy.
This isn’t a one-time thing.
With time, both your challenges and connections will evolve. Hopefully, your life will improve as a result. But it’s a gradual process that evolves with every interaction.
If this resonates, give it a try.
Your spirit animal is a reflection of your inner essence.
A reminder that the qualities you seek are already within you, waiting to be recognized and lived. Whether it appears as a mighty eagle or a tiny hummingbird, the spiritual essence is what matters. Each carries wisdom of the ages that mirrors your spirit’s current journey.
Through Reiki, you can strengthen this connection, inviting your spirit animal to walk beside you, guide you, and infuse your practice with their energy. You’ll find a great ally in this figure.
It’s a door to your soul’s truth.
