Be Mindful Of What You Are Healing

“What is the core of Reiki?”

“Is there one element that sets Reiki in motion for healing and spiritual growth?”

I’ve been faced with these questions many times over the years, and my answer is always the same:

The Reiki self-treatment, of course. But most importantly is to know what you are healing.”

The latter is, unfortunately, something most students fail to learn. This happens because their teacher either doesn’t know or does not have the time to explain the matter in detail.

Yet, this doesn’t mean that you can’t progress in your Reiki practice without understanding the “whys” and “hows” of energy healing.

However, if you want to maximize the benefits of this wonderful art form, it is essential that you eventually do some digging and find out more about its mechanisms.

​As Hiroshi Doi said a few years back at a conference in Australia:

“More and more practitioners fail to see the spiritual importance of Reiki, but rather approach it as a way to relax.”

While this doesn’t bring any adverse effects, it also doesn’t help the individual reach a higher consciousness state.

For example, each Reiki hand position has a physical, energetic, and spiritual component when it comes to self-treatment. Therefore, you direct the universal life force energy to a specific body area through your palms.

This changes the vibration and transforms negative and residual energies into beneficial ones.

And… everything happens at the spiritual level.

That’s how you’ll influence the chakras, energy channels, and fields in that region.

The frequency at which these elements function will also grow, attracting corresponding energies.

This entire process will result in higher spiritual awareness that clears your mind to help you better define your role in this universe.

Practicing the Reiki self-treatment regularly and for a prolonged period is the only way to reach such a state. It takes time to see the effects, get used to higher vibrations, and understand how everything works.

But… I would say it’s all worth it in the end.

Long-term Benefits

  • Cleansing the mental field of negative thoughts and residual patterns;
  • Creating a certain detachment from past emotional traumas and challenging situations;
  • Attract higher-level manifestations of the universal life force energy at a spiritual level;
  • Once you’ve reached this point, you can start expecting positive effects at the physical level as well;

Practicing Reiki At “Random”

Reiki is flexible, and you can’t do it “wrong” with positive intentions.

But when you go beyond the surface level and understand Reiki’s mechanisms, you can start using it more strategically. This is when you’ll witness faster and more profound results.

Then you can work to integrate it efficiently into your daily life and create a more holistic approach to physical, energetic, and spiritual healing.

My intention is not to enforce a personal view on Reiki but offer you a sense of what’s possible. We’re all at different levels, and I’m learning new things every day. Still, there are concepts I wish I had known from the beginning of my journey.

I hope this message will increase your desire for exploration, self-awareness, and approaching Reiki at a deeper level.
