In Eastern Europe, Halloween isn’t a big deal. We might see some themed parties and ads here and there, but it’s not a big part of our culture.
Yet, there’s something about it that catches your attention, right?
This year, I got really curious…
I wanted to find out where Halloween comes from and what it’s all about.
I looked at it from a spiritual point of view, and here’s what I came up with.
Halloween And The Thin Line Between Realms
Halloween has a lot of different meanings behind it. One of them comes from the Celtic tradition called “Samhain.” It marks the end of summer and the start of the colder seasons.
It’s kind of like saying goodbye to the easy times and getting ready for the tougher ones, finding our inner strength to prepare for the year that’s about to follow.
And here’s the cool part: they believed that during Samhain, the line between our world and the spirit world got really thin…
So thin that spirits could actually cross over and visit us.
And that’s where a lot of the ghost stories come from.
Yet… believe it or not, these aren’t just tales from ancient times.
NOTE: The spiritual realm has multiple dimensions. While some are meant to connect you to the source of universal life force energy, others are characterized as low-vibrational places. In various religions, we find them as Heaven and Hell.
As disturbing as this may sound, many European cultures have at least one day of the year in which these portals allegedly open, and people would perform specific rituals or celebrations to ward off malevolent spirits.
Drawing parallels closer to home, in Romania, we have Saint Andrew’s Day, celebrated on the 30th of November.
On this day, the boundaries between our world and the underworld open, and only religious and other similar rituals can keep away evil spirits.
Moreover, Earth has cyclical energies and spiritual portals that open during certain times of the year. This has been studied by astrologers and esoteric practitioners for centuries.
And as history has shown, while some events may be taken out of proportion, there’s a grain of truth in them.
Malevolent spirits can become present in the physical realm on certain days of the year.
Still, they do need the optimum circumstances for this to happen. These usually depend on our actions, thoughts, and intentions.
But imagine, just for a moment…
If everybody were aware of this phenomenon and spent one hour per day, for three consecutive days, praying or channeling universal energy.
Negative influences, and entities would probably find it significantly harder to penetrate the physical realm.
This is possible because, apart from the healing effect, we create a high-vibrational layer of protection that wards off unwanted entities.
However, this is not the reality we’re living in today.
Yet, fear not. For there are ways to shield oneself.
