Creative blocks can be really frustrating.
You sit at your desk, ready to type on your freshly cleaned keyboard, but all you can do is stare at a silent white page. Yet, you know you can do this because you’ve done it before. But somehow… nothing flows. And the more you try, the worse it gets.
If this feels familiar, you’re not alone.
I’ve been there myself (and still struggle occasionally).
My mind is full of ideas I cannot express clearly. It’s discouraging and sometimes… it even feels like a personal failure. Fortunately, with awareness you learn how to handle challenging situations.
Creative blocks aren’t a sign you’re broken.
They often signal a lack of energetic care.
So, let’s take a closer look and see what’s going on.
Where Does Creativity Come From
Creativity is energy.
It lives in the same spectrum as sexuality, sensuality, vitality, and even our social instincts. That’s why, at its core, creativity is a dynamic expression of your vital energy. It’s how your inner self communicates with the world. Whether through writing, music, or creative endeavors, creativity is how the soul reaches out.
But before creative energy turns into action:
- It’s filtered through the soul, removing harmful elements.
- It’s shaped by the mind, giving it structure and meaning.
- And finally, it’s channeled into the material world through your unique form of expression.
A balanced soul preserves creativity.
What Blocks Creativity
Lacking creativity often turns into guilt.
We blame ourselves for being lazy or distracted. There’s always something more we could have done to avoid this roadblock. Yet, this is not only affecting our well-being, but it’s also far from being true.
Creative blocks are energetic blocks.
They happen when your vital energy gets tangled up with low-vibrational influences. These disruptions affect your energetic body (including your inner self), affecting the universal flow and manifesting through different imbalances.
Here are three of the most common causes:
Mental Overload – Too many thoughts fight for attention, clouding your third eye chakra and creating energetic “noise” that drowns out inspiration.
Fear and Self-Doubt- Fear of judgment, failure, or “not being good enough” fuel your solar plexus and throat chakras, impacting self-expression and communication.
Emotional Clutter – Unprocessed emotions or unresolved stress tend to settle in the heart chakra. This leaves little room for free-flowing, authentic creative energy.
If any of these resonate… you’re already halfway to clearing them.
Why?
Because healing begins with awareness.
And, while we don’t know everything… when signs speak to us, we better listen. They bring imbalances to our attention and often lead us to the root of the problem. While randomness (trusting higher guidance) plays a role, you can always be more intentional about your future.
That’s where Reiki can help.
How To Reclaim Your Creative Flow With Reiki
There’s no single method for “fixing” a creative block.
But you can always find answers with Reiki.
Here’s how to begin:
Step 1: Prepare Your Space
- Sit in a chair with your back straight.
- Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth.
- Rest your palms facing upward on your lap, close your eyes, and begin to breathe slowly.
Step 2: Vital Energy Center (Lower Back)
- Activate Cho Ku Rei + Sei He Ki + Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen + Dai Ko Myo on your lumbar area.
- Add Kriya, Gnosa, and Shanti, if you have the Karuna Reiki or Holy Fire attunement.
- This area corresponds to Kundalini (the source of creative energy).
- Kriya – connects with the angels of creativity and manifestation.
- Gnosa – connects with the angels of clarity, knowledge, and inner truth.
- Shanti – connects with the angels of peace, calm, and harmony.
- Together, these symbols harmonize your spiritual and creative expressions.
Step 3: Emotional Release
- Activate the same sequence on the back projection of the heart chakra.
- Repeat the same symbol sequence.
- This helps release unexpressed and unhealed emotions that weigh down your creative flow.
Step 4: Mental Clarity
- Now bring your awareness to the center of your head.
- Repeat the sequence of symbols one last time, allowing them to clear mental fog and restore focus.
When You’re stuck: ‘listen’
Creative blocks don’t mean you’re uninspired.
They mean your energy is calling for a reset.
Instead of forcing the flow, Reiki invites you to pause and reconnect.
So the next time you’re starring at a blank page
- Take a step back to reflect.
- Find calm and peace with deep breaths
- Reconnect with your inner-self through Reiki.
Creativity doesn’t disappear.
It’s still there, waiting for you to use it. But sometimes, you need to wash away the clutter and make room for a new and clear connection. Start with awareness and be intentional about your goals.
This is (possibly) the quickest route to tangible results.
