The universal energy binds us all together and everything else in the world. Through Reiki, you can guide it to create positive outcomes for yourself and others.
Once you receive the attunement for any Reiki system, it stays with you forever. Still, it’s our responsibility to become an optimum channel through which this universal energy can flow.
Sometimes life gets in the way, and you don’t practice Reiki for a while.
And, it’s common to ask yourself if a re-attunement is necessary when you want to start practicing again.
I’ve met a lot of students in this circumstance throughout the years. Because Reiki is so flexible, it’s easy to assume that simply bringing your hands into action will suffice.
While this isn’t wrong by any means, I dare to say it’s incomplete.
Ask yourself the following questions:
Do you think that a practitioner who uses Reiki on a daily basis, meditates, and experiences with different techniques has the same flow of energy and vibration as someone who hasn’t done anything related for the past 5 years?
Furthermore, do you believe that adding stress, toxic relationships, or unhealthy foods to the equation won’t affect Reiki’s flow?
I think the answer is obvious.
And while there’s absolutely nothing to fear, there are a few things to consider before restarting Reiki.
These small steps can help you regain a healthy, harmonious, and steady energy flow while making the process much smoother.
1 – Re-attunement
A re-attunement can be one of the best “remedies” for reconnecting with yourself and the natural flow of universal life-force energy.
The process will dissipate most residual energies, unclog your major energy channel, Sushumna, and re-open your crown chakra, the main entrance through which the universal life force energy flows into your body.
2 – Meditation
Practice a guided or self-guided meditation for re-connection to the source of the universal life force energy.
This will help cleanse your main energy channel and chakras from negative and residual energies. Additionally, the universal life force energy will flow more effectively.
3 – Seminars
Participating in Reiki groups will positively impact both your energetic system and mental health. When more individuals practice Reiki together, the residual energies dissipate much quicker. This happens because the universal energy flow amplifies and is stronger as a result.
However, simply restarting on your own may allow you to remove the “rust” from your energy channels and chakras over time. The difference is that it takes longer and is more time-consuming. Therefore, it’s usually better to begin or restart Reiki with like-minded people who are willing to offer a hand in improving your spiritual connection.
Going through an attunement doesn’t make you a super-human. It’s only the work you do with yourself that counts. Together they provide the foundation needed for you to place your body, mind, and spirit in a state of healing. With time this can lead to an overall balance, better awareness, and a higher level of consciousness.
Reiki is a powerful way to guide the universal energy to our benefit. However, it’s important to maintain this connection by regularly practicing Reiki and meditating.
Seeking proper support when you’re ready to restart is probably the best way to go. It will help you speed up the process and stay on track much more effectively.
Still, the work you’re going to do with yourself is what really counts. It might take longer at first to see results, but the “effort” is well worth it in the end.
