The Quick Self-Treatment Method I Use To Keep The Habit Alive

A fast-paced world requires fast-paced solutions.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a session with one of my students. She asked if there was a way to practice the self-treatment, but somehow… faster.

Her hectic schedule couldn’t fit more than one Reiki session a week. But even this was unpredictable and often skipped.

She wanted something reliable.

Something she could implement even on busy days.

So I introduced her to my “Quick self-treatment method” – which doesn’t replace a complete session, but it’s a great alternative when time is scarce.

However, to make this work in your favor without compromising value, it’s essential to approach the matter with clear understanding.

The 3 Main Elements Of A Reiki Self-Treatment

Reiki does not have to be complicated.

It’s true that energy healing can get queit complex when you start consiering all the spiritual layers, the symbols, and specialize techniques you can tap into.

Yet, the core of Reiki is remarkably simple.

These are the 3 elements that never change:

1. Intention

This is where you offer direction to the Universal Life Force Energy. It’s when you find clarity of thought and move from outer distractions to inner calm. When your mind is quiet, the energy tends to flow where it’s needed the most.

2. Visualization

The next step is to shape your intention. The clearer it becomes in your mind, the better your desire will align with the Divine Will. More than this, visualization is a way to stimulate your feelings and place yourself in this new reality you’re working toward.

3. Action

There can’t be results without practice. But practice goes beyond the session itself. What you channel during the self-treatment must reflect in your daily actions. The words you choose to speak out loud, the beliefs you have about yourself, how you treat your body, and how you interact with others… they all add up and either reinforce or undermine your efforts to find balance through Reiki.

I strongly believe the secret to tangible results is consistency.

No fancy method will substitute for the lack of practice.

Therefore, even a quick self-treatment is better than none.

Here’s how to do it:

The Quick Self-Treatment

This is a good way to pause throughout the day, sit in silence with yourself, and recalibrate your energetic structure. You don’t have to worry about technicalities. Since your palms have no polarity, you can let your intuition guide you and place them either on the front or back of your chakras.

But you should save at least 3 minutes for each position.

  • Sit in a chair with your back straight. Take a few deep breaths to relax and become present.
  • Activate your palms by rubbing them against each other. Add Reiki symbols to enhance the effect.
  • Position 1: Place one hand on your Crown Chakra and the other on the Root Chakra.
  • Position 2: Place one hand on the Third Eye Chakra and the other on the Sacral Chakra.
  • Position 3: Place one hand on the Throat Chakra and the other on the Solar Plexus Chakra.
  • Position 4: Place both palms on the Heart Chakra.

This brings the practice to about 10-12 minutes. It can’t equal a complete self-treatment, but it will stimulate the Universal Energy flow through your body and chakras.

Use the full self-treatment for emotional healing and spiritual growth.

Use this quick method to keep your connection alive and, just like physical exercise, recalibrate your energy regularly.

The benefits of the quick self-treatment:

  • Cleanse and activate the primary chakras.
  • Center yourself and regain inner balance.
  • Dissolve negative energies and stimulate your vital energy.
  • Because the hand positions are somewhat different than the regular self-treatment, you will stimulate the energy flow through the two main meridians – Ren Mai and Do Mai. This will boost your physical level and help you move with more energy throughout the day.
  • Extend the energy field of your Heart Chakra, filing you with joy but also compassion. It’s a great way to find understanding and work with others.
  • In my view, the greatest benefit is building consistency. This quick practice helps keep your energy flowing smoothly between full Reiki self-treatments and supports your commitment to the habit.

A busy life doesn’t mean abandoning Reiki.

Sometimes all you need is a workaround.

The Quick Reiki Self-Treatment is a great example. You get to reignite your connection with the Universal Life Force Energy while offering yourself a healthy energy boost.

You maintain the healthy habit of practicing Reiki, which will make it easier to sit down and practice fully when you have more time.

Reiki doesn’t require you to be perfect.

In fact, you can use your “imperfections” to design a life that’s true to you.

All you need is presence and consistency.

I hope this example gives you something to reflect on.
