Stop Trying To Feel Good All The Time

“Raise your vibration!”

I’m sure you’re familiar with this phrase.

We hear it a lot during our Reiki trainings and seminars.

Vibration dictates many aspects of our lives. But it’s not the most important element in energy healing. When it comes to shaping one’s life is not the vibration that does it… it’s resonance.

Vibration and resonance are connected, that’s true.

But they are different concepts with distinct roles.

Let’s break them down.

What Is Vibration

In physics, vibration means oscillation.

Specifically, the back-and-forth movement of energy at a measurable frequency. Atoms, cells, organs, emotions, thoughts, and consciousness itself… they all vibrate.

In the spiritual and energetic context, vibration describes the overall frequency at which your energetic and physical structures operate.

Each psychic structure (mind, soul, spirit) has its own vibration. It differs from one element to the other, but they tend to co-exist and harmonize together.

Think of your vibration as your energetic baseline.

When people say “raise your vibration,” they mean moving from heavier states such as fear, anger, or grief toward lighter, more expansive ones.

Vibration is about you.

It reflects your current energetic state and the quality of energy you’re emitting into the world.

What is Resonance

Resonance connects two or more frequencies.

In the physical realm, resonance occurs when one vibrating system meets another. The result is usually an acummulation of two vibrations.

Moreover one vibrating element can stimulate the vibration of another static element.

For example, if you stike a tuning fork, and a nearby fork of the same pitch will begin to hum on its own. No physical contact required. The first simply called to the second, and the second answered.

Spiritually, resonance means matching.

Your vibration aligns with someone elses.

But resonance isn’t limited to a person. It can be a place, a habit, or a practice. When alignment occurs, it just clicks. Things flow naturally and you feel the pull toward something you cannot describe in words but feels like home.

Resonance is fundamentally relational.

It cannot exist in isolation.

It results from combining different vibrations and aligning them with an exterior factor.

Why The Confusion

Both concepts describe energetic frequency.

Both are felt rather than seen.

And so the terms are used interchangeably, overlooking their role in our development.

But, in doing so, we neglect a crucial part of who we are. We fail to see the signs and act accordingly. We are happy when things feel right and sad when they don’t go our way.

Yet, life flows regardless of how we feel.

Our job is not to be defensive and ignore what we dislike but take note of everything that’s happening and walk the optimal path for our greater good.

Let’s see how.

Why Resonance & Vibration Matter

Resonance is everywhere.

From the people you meet to the place you visit, resonance is present in your senses. You feel when something is off and when attraction is at home.

These signs are the one you must pay attention to.

Take a step back and observe the people in your life. Think about those who bring pure joy and those who leave you feeling heavy.

Same thing with the place you travel to. Do they nurture your soul, or do they feel cold and repulsive?

Observation is essential for growth.

And you never stop observing.

You’ll soon learn to spot the patterns and know when it’s time to raise your vibration to encounter more favorable people and situations.

This will naturally lift your resonance and align you with the optimal frequency.

Now… let’s get practical!

How To Use Reiki To Raise Your Vibration And Change Your Resonance

Reiki touches your energetic anatomy.

Through self-treatment and its specific methods and hand positions, you get to spot and dissolve negative patterns, clear energetic blockages, and even release yourself from karmic debts.

Reiki’s goal is to create a smooth path to walk on. One without obstacles where you can see who and what you resonate with before working to raise your vibration.

A clear mind leads to sound decisions.

But Reiki alone isn’t enough.

You must also have the will to change.

This rarely stems from motivation or external advice. You are the only one who can recognize the situation you are in and decide whether it’s beneficial or not.

When you do, this must feel genuine.

Because true motivation will stem from identity change.

Once you no longer identify with the present person, no obstacle will be too big to overcome. You know. You feel you’re no longer THIS person and you do whatever it takes to evolve into the next version of yourself.

Reiki is there to support you along the way.

It can bring clarity where there is doubt, and calm where there is turmoil. As you constantly return to a state of balance, you make progress. And step-by-step you release what no longer serves you well and bring on new layers of the new you.

Final Word

Raising your vibration is only half the work.

The other half is noticing what you resonate with once that vibration shifts. Most practitioners focus entirely on their inner state while ignoring the feedback the world is constantly giving them.

Resonance is that feedback.

Reiki helps you get quiet enough to hear it. And when you do, the patterns become obvious, the decisions get easier, and the path forward feels less like effort and more like alignment.

The work was never only about you.

It was always about the connection.
