Your energetic anatomy has edges you might not know of.
You do the work through the self-treatment, you cleanse your chakras and take care of yourself outside the energy spectrum. And still, bugging patterns keep coming back.
So, naturally, you wonder if you’re doing something wrong.
If you’re missing elements in your healing efforts.
Or pressing on an issue you shouldn’t touch.
While some may be true, this usually happens because you’re working with an incomplete map of your energetic anatomy.
Here’s what I mean…
We have more than seven chakras (and they all matter).
Our energetic anatomy governs our physical health.
That’s why we use Reiki to address its various sections, from energy channels to chakras and everything in between. The smoother the universal life force energy is, the better your health.
When I first learned about this, my initial thought was: “This is like a health hack for the body!“
Working with my seven primary chakras made so much sense. Each one governs an essential part of my physical body and having all in balance contributes to my mental, emotional, and physical health.
But after years of practicing Reiki following the chakra pattern, I was presented with a new set of energy centers: the transpersonal chakras.
These sit outside the physical body’s range, both above and below. And unlike the seven primary chakras, which include physical healing elements, the transpersonal ones hold a stricter spiritual role.
They handle awareness, release karmic-related energies, and facilitate connection to higher stages of consciousness.
There are several of them.
But I’ll focus on the two I find most important, and you’ll understand why they belong in your practice.
The Soul Star Chakra
This is the bridge to the spiritual world.
It sits roughly 10 inches above your head, with some texts even calling it the “8th chakra.”
It works closely with your crown chakra to connect you to your higher self and to universal life force energy. If the crown chakra is the main “conductor” for the universal life force energy flowing throughout the physical body, then the Soul Star chakra is the regulator of that flow.
The Soul Star Chakra also acts as a gateway for accessing Divine messages and guidance on your life’s path.
When this chakra is healthy and open, you’ll find yourself:
- Channeling higher vibrations and manifestations of the universal life force energy, such as Mahatma energy.
- Gaining a clear perception of your spiritual path.
- Accessing your potential, both in the spiritual and physical world.
- Understanding the challenges of others with compassion, so judgment and criticism go out the window.
In short, the Soul Star chakra is where clarity comes from.
The one you need to walk the optimum path for your greater good.
The Earth Star Chakra
This is the bridge to the physical world.
It sits about 10 to 12 inches below your feet. Some call it the “super root” because it works alongside the root chakra but, of course, at a more profound level.
The Earth Star complements the root chakra by:
- Enhancing your potential for material abundance.
- Grounding you so you feel safe and confident.
- Stimulating your vital energy and immune system so you feel in tune with the people you come in contact with as well as your surroundings.
But there’s one important element that sets the Earth Star apart from the root. While the root chakra stores childhood traumas along with the potential for vitality and abundance, the Earth Star chakra stores unresolved karmic energies and information from previous physical incarnations.
This is the piece most practitioners ignore completely.
I know because I was this person once before.
When you begin working with the Earth Star chakra, these buried karmic elements gradually surface, allowing you to heal them step by step. That’s often what’s happening when patterns keep returning despite all your inner work.
As I like to say: “You’ve been cleaning the room but not your drawers.”
How to address your Soul Star and Earth Star chakras with Reiki?
The Soul Star chakra opens you to higher consciousness.
The Earth Star chakra clears karmic weight.
When you have both these energy centers in balance, they have the potential to serve your evolution, in different ways.
Fortunately, addressing them is easier than you might think: all you have to do is set aside 5 extra minutes for each chakra during self-treatment.
Place your palms on top of your head for the Soul Star chakra, with the intention of healing it. Then, when you reach the root chakra area, simply send universal energy downward toward your Earth Star chakra.
That’s it. Try it out for the next 3-5 sessions and focus on the insights or changes you might experience.
Why these chakras work better together?
When you activate the Soul Star chakra, you gain a clear path toward Divine inspiration and wisdom. You also develop a deeper understanding of your role as a spiritual being living in the physical world.
When you heal the Earth Star chakra, the emotions attached to past traumas begin to transform into light. Abundance starts to flow and your vital energy increases.
As I see it…
The Soul Star pulls Divine energy down from above while the Earth Star anchors it deep below. One brings the light in. The other gives it somewhere to land.
So if you open the Soul Star without grounding the Earth Star, you get inspiration you can’t act on.
Conversely, if you ground the Earth Star without opening the Soul Star, you clear old, dragging weight but lose access to the guidance that gives it meaning.
They let you evolve without falling apart.
By keeping these two chakras in balance, you also support the health of your seven primary chakras. You begin to watch over how energy enters your body and how it leaves, staying connected to everything around you.
There are other chakras beyond the physical spectrum. But addressing these two gives you a complete approach, reaching your entire energetic anatomy from the edges to the core.
Start at the edges, and the center takes care of itself.
