This “Forgotten” Chakra Is Waiting To Awaken The Nectar Of Immortality

Did you know we have more than 5000 chakras?

Most are very small and represent intersections of our meridians. They control various parts of the body and ensure the good functioning of our ligaments or joints.

But we often work with the 7 primary chakras.

Right?

However, there’s an 8th, hidden one, rarely talked about.

This “forgotten chakra” activates when you transition from a relaxation into an ascension state, through spiritual practices.

So… let’s see what it does and why it matters.

The Forgotten Chakra Called Bindu

Bindu is a little-known energy center located in the head area.

Many spiritual practices and even chakra teachings never mention it. But it’s pretty common in yogic and tantric traditions where it’s described as a mystical gateway to higher awareness states. It’s the point where “divine nectar” begins to flow.

The Bindu chakra sits slightly beneath the crown, at the back of the head.

In Sanskrit, Bindu means “point” or “drop,” symbolizing the seed of creation and the subtle essence of life. According to ancient teachings, the Bindu is the source of Amrita – the “nectar of immortality.” When activated, this nectar is said to drip down the throat, nourishing body and soul, bringing peace, vitality, and even states of bliss. Spiritually, the Bindu chakra links us to the experience of divine consciousness and the eternal flow of life force within.

How Can The Bindu Chakra Help

Our modern lives push us toward alternative sources of vitality.

Supplements, training routines, and fancy treatments have become the norm. While these can be handy, nature has given us the gift of life.

The body contains a fountain of rejuvenation and bliss.

That’s what the Bindu chakra is all about.

When cleansed and activated, it can:

  • Support deep inner peace and emotional release.
  • Nourish the nervous system, bringing calm and clarity.
  • Open access to subtle states of joy and bliss in meditation.
  • Strengthen the bridge between body, spirit, and divine consciousness.

But that’s not all… because you don’t have to do it alone.

Reiki can help awaken this chakra and support the flow of Amrita (a subtle nectar) through the body, nourishing both your energy system and spirit.

3 Reiki Methods For Stimulating The Bindu Chakra

1. Self-Treatment (Level 1)

  • Sit comfortably in a chair with your back straight.
  • Activate your palms by rubbing them against each other.
  • Place your hands on the occipital area (where the skull begins to curve).
  • Declare your intention to channel universal energy to: “Awaken the Bindu chakra for peace, vitality, and divine nourishment, aligned with Divine will and for your greater good.” – repeat 3 times.
  • Breathe slowly as you visualize a tiny droplet of golden, white light forming and glowing with life force energy.

2. Reiki Symbols (Level 2)

  • Repeat the steps from Level 1.
  • But, before the self-treatment, activate Cho Ku Rei above your head area to amplify the flow and Sei He Ki to dissolve any emotional and mental blocks.
  • For Level 3 practitioners, activate Dai Ko Myo over the Bindu chakra while inviting the universal life force energy to stimulate the Amrita flow.

NOTE: Spending more time on the crown chakra and even adding an extra hand position, on the upper back of the head, helps intensify the effects.

3. Meditation

  • Find a quiet moment, free of distractions, and sit in a chair comfortably.
  • Place your hands in Gassho or in your lap, facing up.
  • Close your eyes and take 10 deep breaths. Relax.
  • Visualize a cool stream of nectar flowing from the Bindy chakra into your throat and heart chakras.
  • Allow the universal life force energy and spirit guides to usher this flow, nourishing each cell, energy center, and your aura.
  • When you’re ready to end the meditation, place your hands over your heart to seal the practice with gratitude.

NOTE: The time spent in meditation can vary for each and every person. It may take 10 minutes or an hour, so be prepared.

Living with the Nectar of the Soul

Bindu might be the “forgotten chakra“.

But it carries a universal truth worth remembering: the nectar of divine life force that flows through each of us, whether we acknowledge it or not. By nurturing this bond, you can find peace and balance while establishing a more profound connection with the subtle joy beneath life challenges. Reiki can help awaken this energy center and stimulate the flow of Amrita, nourishing your body and spirit.

As you gradually discover yourself through this chakra, you’ll perhaps learn that the secret to immortality isn’t living forever but touching on the eternal part within yourself.

And that makes it worth remembering.
